Praise, Thanksgiving

Let It Be Known

Has the Lord saved you? Say so. Has he been your strength in hard times? Say so. Has he given you a joy and a peace that you cannot even begin to describe? Then say so! Tell it to those who need to hear. Tell of God’s amazing love, his unending kindness and the fullness of his sustaining grace. Let it be known that he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things, (v9).

Those surrounded by darkness need to hear about the light; those being swallowed by the death of sin need to hear about the way to life. Don’t hide your thanks for God’s goodness and don’t whisper your praise in secret. You don’t have to be a megaphone-Christian, but don’t be afraid to tell of what God has done in your life and that his blessings are real.

Good news is hard to come by and bad news seems to be on tap. Yet, in our hands, we have a book bursting with good news and filled with stories of hope and encouragement. Joy needs to be passed on, compassion needs to be felt and love needs to be shown.
