Psalm 90:17 – Let the favour (or beauty) of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!
When we carry out the Lord’s work, according to his plans and purposes, he will establish it; he will make it beautiful. What a reassurance that is, knowing that when we follow His will and undertake to do the work of His kingdom, he is with us every step of the way. When the Lord walks with us, we can trust his guidance, commit to his leading, and rely on his protection.
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3
Being assured that we are following God’s will, we can call out to him in confidence, saying, ‘Let your beauty, your favour and your blessing fall upon us, in all that we do, and make it steadfast for your glory.’ Psalm 93 tells us that anything established by God will not be moved. The enemy can push and shove all he wants but he will never tear down anything that God has built up.
Never stop believing in the sovereignty of the Lord, in his ability to be your steadfast foundation, and his willingness to bless all that you do for Him.
