Patience, Promises, Thursday Thoughts

Patient In Hope

But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

Romans 8:25

What a comfort and blessing it is to have hope, a real living hope. The moment we were saved by God’s grace, hope took root. It is through this hope of eternal life and future glory with Christ that our salvation is lived out and our faith is sustained, in the here and now. It is not based on whimsical dreaming of what might be but on the promises of God for what will be.

Jesus said, “Where I am, you may be also”, and where he is, is in the heavenly kingdom of the Father. It is there that He is preparing a place for us; a place, as yet, unseen.

For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18

This is the wonder of our hope – being absolutely convinced of the things that are to come, and being completely willing to wait patiently for them.
