Matthew 6:19 – “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.” We all have basic needs and the three most fundamental are food, clothing and shelter. These are provided for us when we are young but when we start to earn for… Continue reading Heavenly Rich
One of the things I do not like about politicians is the wishy-washy, non-committal answers to direct questions. If I am unsure about something, my aim is always to obtain a clear and definite answer. Jesus always provided definitive answers and instruction. Sometimes the instructions are simple and straightforward while other times they are difficult… Continue reading Quietly Give
In Matthew chapter 5 from verse 21 through to 48, Jesus touches on six different subjects: Anger – Lust – Divorce – Oaths – Retaliation – Love Your Enemies He begins each topic with, “You have heard that it was said…”, followed with a quote from the Torah, and then adds, “But I say to… Continue reading Think Again
After ministering to a great crowd, Jesus ‘went up on the mountain, and when he sat down, his disciples came to him’. Imagine yourself among them, sitting on mossy rocks at the feet of the teacher. It’s a lot quieter and a little cooler here and you wait to hear what He will tell you.… Continue reading Lighting the World
Matthew 513 - You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. Salt has an influence and an effect on everything it touches: It holds back decay;… Continue reading Salting the Earth
And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, those having seizures,… Continue reading Rabbi Jesus
Therefore, God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil2) What… Continue reading Who I Am
This Name of God is only mentioned 3 times in the bible and they all occur within Daniel chapter 7. The name mirrors El Olam as it depicts the everlasting nature of God; Alpha and Omega, without beginning and without end – literally before the formation of days and before time itself. Referring to his… Continue reading Ancient of Days
The Word is Power - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made (John1). YWHW, spoke The Word and brought forth the glorious… Continue reading THE WORD
The Living God I am fascinated by the statues, large and small, around the world, that people will travel to look upon and often to leave a gift for. Statues of wood, metal and stone; inanimate objects that are revered and worshipped. A tree from the forest is cut down and worked with an axe… Continue reading EL CHAY
