Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering, and come into his courts! Psalm 96:8
When the angels sang, “Glory to God in the highest”, the sound of their worship must have been truly breath-taking. We may not all have the voice of an angel, but one of ways in which we can bring glory to God is with a united voice of praise.
That together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:6
In life’s hectic schedule, we sometimes bring only our petitions and forget to bring the praise. Have you noticed though, that when you lose yourself in worship, your heart and mind feel lighter? The noise of life falls away as our focus shifts to the One who holds everything in His hands.
What are you bringing and laying before the Lord? Maybe you are thinking that you don’t have much to offer Him, and yet the truth is, we all have the one thing that the Lord wants most.
What can I give Him, poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb;
If I were a wise man, I would do my part;
Yet, what I can I give Him: give my heart.
We ascribe glory to God by offering Him every part of our being and lifting up His name above all else.
Bring to the Lord a heart of worship today; bring a willingness to serve, and a voice to give him praise.
This Christmas season, I wish you the joy of the Saviour’s birth and the peace of His presence. Merry Christmas, and God willing, I will see you all in 2026.
