There’s More to Know

Call to me, and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. Jeremiah 33:3

Whenever I think of various conversations I’ve had or those I’ve overheard, a lot of them have started with, “Well, what’s the craic?” “Any gossip, any scandal?” “Did you hear about…?” Most of us like to be in-the-know; not necessarily with gossip, but just with what is going on in general. We like to feel informed, up-to-date, and in the loop.

Call to me, and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

God does not want us to miss out on any of His news. He wants to tell us great and hidden things, things that we have never heard before; news that is actually new.

“Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.” Isaiah 42:9

What was once declared by the prophets, is now declare to us through scripture and through the voice of the Lord Jesus – in Matthew 13:35 He says, “I will utter what has been hidden since the foundation of the world.” The Word of God is bursting with amazing and wonderful truths and He longs to share these glorious gems of knowledge with us. Spending time with Him, gives us the opportunity to open up our heart and mind to learn new things.
