A Call to Worship

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Psalm 100:1-2

These wonderful verses call us to worship and there is no better way to start each and every day than with a heart of thankfulness to the Lord. The whole psalm has such a joyous energy which serves to focus our thoughts on the goodness and faithfulness of our God. It reminds us who we are, both in Him and to Him.

Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Psalm 100:3

We belong to Almighty God – we are His. This is profound knowledge, revealed to us by the Spirit, and with this profound knowledge we cannot help but enter into an attitude of sincere worship, pouring out our thanks and our praise to the one who created us, loved us, redeemed us, and is transforming us to the image of His Son.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations. Psalm 100:4-5

Our God is good. He is steadfast. He is faithful. He is forever.

Meditate on this beautiful psalm today. Come into His presence, allowing your spirit to connect with His, and release your heart to praise.
