Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. Romans 6:8
When I think of all the various customs and cultures of the world with their deities, mythical and otherwise, carved from stone, moulded from brass, with ears that can’t hear, mouths that can’t speak, and worshipped by the human hands that made them – I am so glad that I serve the living God and the resurrected Christ, and that the power of the Holy Spirit lives in me.
We serve a living, breathing Saviour, over whom, death has no power or dominion. The wonderful thing about this truth is that it is also true for the Christian, because having died with Christ, death has lost its dominion over us.
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
We are alive in Christ, and we will live as heirs with Him, for the Father has adopted us as sons and daughters, and He looks on us as He looks on the Son – holy and pure, without stain or blemish.
Knowing what waits ahead, let’s live for Jesus here and now, in the victory of His death.
For the one who has died has been set free from sin. Romans 6:7
What a shame it would be to rob ourselves, not only, of the freedom from sin that His sacrifice affords us, but also of living in the truth of how God sees us – as His glorious children.
Don’t keep digging up yesterday’s sins. Leave the old you where it belongs – at the foot of the cross – and live in the fullness of the resurrected Lord.

Good thought!
