Never Stop Asking

Frank Sinatra liked to tell us that he did things his own way; Fleetwood Mac confirmed that you could go your own way but it would be another lonely day. Moses, who was well aware of the consequences of doing things your own way, did not want to walk that path again.

We can do things our own way if we want, but we need to be prepared for where that may lead. We could end up just walking in a circle, walking down a dead-end, or walking into a maze and having to retrace our steps back to the beginning. How much time and effort have we wasted over the years in going our own way? How far do we go before turning to God and asking, ‘Please show me now your way’? When we take the time to ask and seek, God responds.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to go into any situation (or challenging conversation) without being absolutely confident that God is with me. We need God’s presence surrounding us in everything we do and everywhere we go, and we will know that He is with us because we will feel His peace.
