That you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world. Philippians 2:15
To be blameless, innocent and without blemish is unfortunately outside the realm of our personal ability. The good news is, that although it is impossible for us to live a blameless life, we are made perfect in Christ, and through him we have the ability to be lights of hope in a very dark place. Jesus showed us how to live and shine within an imperfect world and it is his example that we must continually follow.
Every part of God’s world has been distorted by sin, and although we are to live in separation from worldly ways, we are not to live in isolation. For how will people know that they are on a dangerous path unless it is being illuminated? We are God’s light, and in a world that is getting darker we need to shine brighter.
Light draws attention and your light can draw people to the path that leads to a life of fulfillment, hope and joy.

Shine on Carolyn ..thank you for your hard work enlightening us of God’s love.
