I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Psalm 32:8
Life can sometimes feel like we are trying to find our way through a maze. Choosing which direction to turn is not always easy when we feel disorientated, and when we completely lose all sense of direction we might as well be walking with a blindfold on. Before it gets to that stage, we need to stop and ask for help.
“I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”
How reassuring it is to know that the Lord is constantly watching over us. Not only is He watching, He is willing to talk us through the tough decisions and difficult circumstances. Just listen to the words that He uses – I will instruct; teach; counsel – He is the direction giver; He is the one we stop and ask for help.
The only way to navigate a maze is by having a bird’s-eye view. God sees the full picture of our situation and it is He alone that can direct us with clarity. The onus is on us to be both open and responsive to His instruction.
Listen and trust, and let the Lord lead you in the way that you should go.
