Song of Prayer         

By day the LORD commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life. _{Psalm 42:8}

What a lovely verse to meditate on at the start of the working week. We serve a 24/7 God and every day he spreads his love over us like a beautiful warm blanket. No matter what the day may hold, His love surrounds us, bringing us what we need for each moment. He commands his steadfast love, so that you know without a doubt that it is with you always.

When the day is drawing to a close and the night is drawing in, we have an opportunity to bring to God our praise and thanksgiving for that steadfast love, and for his arm of protection around us.

Sometime words fail us and we find it hard to adequately express the depth of our gratefulness toward God. In those times, we can bring our praise through a song and use that song as a prayer of worship to the one who holds us in His hands.

Meditation: Thank you Lord for your steadfast love, thank you for being the God of my life.

Never stop singing, never stop giving Him praise.
