Be Strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood. Ephesians 6:10,12
Christians talk quite a lot about having, and relying on, the strength of the Lord. We know that we need it, but how many mornings do we dive straight into the day without asking for it? Stepping out into the world without the armour of God, is just a calamity waiting to happen. The moment you head out unarmed, the devil swings into action. His aim? To shake your faith and weaken you in any way he can. But, when we go out armed, we have power; power to wrestle against the schemes of the devil.
Take up the whole armour of God – the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit, and the shield of faith. God’s armour enables us to stand ready and stand firm with confidence because we stand in the strength of HIS might.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
The battle rages on every day, but the Lord doesn’t just want you to rely on Him when things are tough, he wants you to rely on Him for every single aspect of your day. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith. Not some circumstances, not just difficult circumstances, but all circumstances because the devil is sly and cunning, and his flaming darts can come from unexpected places. This is why it is so important that we pray at all times in the Spirit Eph 6:18, so that we can recognise the attacks of the enemy when they come.
God has provided us with the ultimate protection for every spiritual battle, but it is absolutely useless if you leave it at home.

Amen, we need to put it on. I needed reminded of that, thank you. 😊
