Forgiveness, God's Love, Truth

Redeemed by Love

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace. Ephesians 1:7

Those who believe in Jesus have been redeemed; how incredible is that thought? Our sin has a cost, and it is far beyond what we can afford to pay. Yet, sadly there are those who feel that when they stand before God, he will weigh all the good they have done against the bad and that will be enough to gain them entrance into heaven. The devil is so good at deception. But good works will never save anyone, for salvation is only granted through mercy and grace.

But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved! Ephesians 2:4-5

Love (of the Father) + Mercy (death of the Son) + Grace (undeserving favour) = Forgiveness

This is our redemption, freely given, bringing us back to where we belong – back with the Father. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ Ephesians 2:13. This amazing forgiveness bring us back into communion with God, into the holy of holies. Does that not blow your mind, that your life is now lived in the surrounding presence of God? Never alone, and blessed with the continual riches of His grace.

Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it! Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed through His infinite mercy, His child and forever I am.
I think of my blessed Redeemer, I think of Him all the day long:
I sing, for I cannot be silent; His love is the theme of my song.

Rich in mercy, rich in grace, and great in love. Give thanks to the Lord for the wonder of redemption, and tell of it to all who will listen.
