Going Forward in Confidence

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. _{Galatians 2:20}

As you resolve to go into this year with a determination to serve the Lord, you go in the confidence of knowing that the One who gave his life for you is the One who lives in you. Outwardly, the sin-shell is still rigidly attached, but inwardly, the spirit is free.

There is no denying that there are things that will come along that will try you, tempt you, and without a doubt test your faith, which is why it’s a good thing that you are not relying on your own strength to see you through. The Spirit supplies enough power and strength to meet the challenges of each day. You don’t need to tackle anything on your own. Let Him fill you daily with all that you need.

Be determined to walk confidently by faith in the Son of God who redeemed you, and the power of the Holy Spirit who guards your way.
