Activate the Power

Be Strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. _{Ephesians 6:10}

We talk quite a lot about having, and relying on, the strength of the Lord. We know that we need it, but how many mornings do we dive straight into the day without asking for it? We have the ability to walk fearlessly in the confidence of the Lord, but it is only possible through the strength of his might.

When we step into our day, we step straight into two battles – an external battle (the world), and an internal battle (the flesh).

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise; and give no opportunity to the devil ^{Ephesians 5:15, 4:27}

Stepping out into the world without the Lord by your side, is just a calamity waiting to happen. The moment you head out unarmed, the devil swings into action. His aim? To shake your faith and weaken you in whatever way he can. But, when we go out armed, we have power.

According to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being. _{Ephesians 3:16}

Why would we ever want to walk out the door without His power within us? You have access to it, so activate it and use it.
