Transformed

Romans 12:2

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

When we read of Moses and his encounter with God, we are told that he had to veil his face because it was too bright for the people to look upon; he radiated the glory of God. In 2nd Corinthians 3 we read, ‘when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed… and we, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another.’

This ongoing transformation sets us apart unto God – His way and His will. God gives to us, as He did Saul, another heart, one of love and purpose and faithful to His Word. We need to keep this heart with all vigilance (Prov4) because Paul warns us of those who proclaim another Jesus, a different spirit and a different gospel (2Cor11). Do not be swayed by doctrine or social behaviours that are not scripturally sound. Stand strong in the truth of God’s Word.

We are not here to please the masses; we are here to proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light (1Pet2).
