Living Free

Romans 6:9

We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.

When I think of all the various customs and cultures of the world with their deities, mythical and otherwise, I am so glad that I serve the living God. The One who died ‘once and for all’.

Today’s verse could go on to state: We also know that the believer in Christ, having died to sin, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him because in Christ there is no end.

What a glorious truth; our faith in Christ’s death for sin means that we also have died to sin. And the life that He now lives for God (v10) we also live for God through Him. We are seen as He is seen – holy and pure, without stain or blemish. Are you living in the truth of how God sees you or are you living within the old version of yourself? Don’t rob yourself of living in the victory of Christ’s death. Leave the old you where it belongs – buried – and live in the fullness of the resurrected Lord.

    1. This is my go-to verse when things are difficult…. Isaiah 41:10 – fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
