Psalm 19:7-11
The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
The are no imperfections in God’s word, it is completely flawless and is set on a solid foundation.
The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
All that He asks of us and the way that He wants us to follow, is simply to enable us to experience the fullness of His goodness.
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether.
He is Holy and just and we should acknowledge His sovereign nature with reverence and humility.
More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.
We should have a deep inner longing to follow God’s laws and commands. They are in place for our benefit and they make life so much sweeter.
Everything else will eventually fade away but Jehovah stands forever and we are complete in Him.
